Hap Hartig showed some vintage form during the early part of the 2009 campaign pitching to a 0.54 era before a knee injury slowed his season . . . with a healthy right knee Hap may be one of the major keys to a return to the Championship Game . . .


Hap Hartig was enjoying a comeback in year in the early part of the 2009 season. Through his first four appearances, Hap was 2-0 with a microscopic 0.54 era. However, a knee injury derailed his marvelous season. When healthy, Hap displayed a jump in his speed and plenty of movement. Skipper Fiorillo has high hopes on a healthy Hartig which could result in a champagne celebration come August.
