GAME 14 MVP: RICH AURICCHIO

Known as "The Godfather" of the Post 701 softball team, Rich Auricchio is the career leader in multiple catagories including homeruns (12), rbis (138). and sac flies (14) while carrying a .410 batting average and .622 slugging pct. He has played 11 years with the 701ers, although only part time over the last two years. He laced on the spikes vs Percision and led the Post by going 3 for 4 with 3 singles. For his efforts, Rich Auricchio was named Game 14 MVP.

GAME 13 MVP: HAP HARTIG

For the second straight start and the second time in four days, Hap Hartig came through with a top shelf pitching performance. Against the 10-2 Crane's Sealcoating squad, Hap allowed only 6 hits and 1 earned run in a 2-0 loss. For his efforts, Hap was named Game 13 MVP.

GAME 12 MVP: HAP HARTIG

He rejoined the Post 701ers just past the mid-season mark and made an immediate impact in game 12 when Skipper Vinny Fiorillo's ptiching staff became as thin as a pretzel. Hap Hartig had an outstanding game vs St. Michael's as he scattered 9 hits in 7 innings and did not allow an earned run in a tough 5-4 loss. For his performance, Hap Hartig earned Game 12 MVP honors.

GAME 11 MVP: DANNY AURICCHIO

He continues to put up amazing numbers in this, his fourth year with the Post 701ers. A lifetime .459 hitter, Danny also has a .733 slugging pct with 50 rbis in only 135 at bats. This year, Danny leads the team in runs (12), hits (19), rbis (11), on base average (.605) and batting average (.576). Against Schotts, Dan was on base all four times with a double, single, and 2 walks. He drove in three and scored twice while stealing a base, and for his performance, Dan won his 4th Game MVP Award for the 2007 season.

GAME 10 MVP: CHARLIE ARCHINAL

His absence was never more apparent than in Game 9 when Michael's exploded for 14 runs and 17 hits. However, Charlie Archinal was back on the hill against Shorty's and exhibited his all-star form scattering 8 hits, not allowing an earned run and striking out a season high nine. For his performance, Charlie earned Game 10 MVP honors.

GAME 9 MVP: DANNY AURICCHIO

Danny Auricchio continued his torrid year with a 3 for 4 performance, including a triple, 2 runs and 2 rbis and was voted Game 9 MVP. Danny has now won game MVP honors in back to back games, and three times total for the 2007 season. He is leading the team in the triple crown catagory while playing an outstanding outfield.

GAME 8 MVP: DANNY AURICCHIO

He leads the team in most of the offensive catagories: hits (13), runs (7), rbis (6), triples (2) and stolen bases (3). When Danny Auricchio went deep with two out in the bottom of the fourth for a 2-run homer, he earned Game 8 MVP honors. Oh, by the way, Dan is hitting .520 with a .519 on base pct.

GAME 7 MVP: SHAUN KRUTZ

He continues to brings energy, youth and excellence to the 2007 Post softball squad. In Thursday's big win over The Camacho's, rookie Shaun Krutz had his second 3 for 3 performance in 3 games. Shaun belted the first 701 homerun of the year, a 2-run blast in the third in addition to a rbi double in the seventh. And, oh, by the way, he played an excellent third base. For his exploits, Shaun was voted Game 7 MVP.

GAME 6 MVP: CHARLIE ARCHINAL

He did what he always does, solid pitching . . . 5 earned runs against a tough hitting Mohawk Thunder team with 7 k's. However, 3 costly errors cost him his first win of the year. But, because of his pitching performance against the hitting machine Thunder, and his single and walk, Charlie was named Game 6 MVP.

GAME 5 MVP: SHAUN KRUTZ

Plugged into the number 10 spot in the order, Shaun Krutz went 3 for 3 with 2 singles and 2-run triple in a tough 9-8 loss to the City League Crystal Bar. Shaun scored twice while playing a solid right centefield. For his heroics, Shaun was named Game 5 MVP.

GAME 4 MVP: DAN AURICCHIO

He turned 21 on Thursday and celebrated in a big way going 3 for 3 with a double, triple, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. He is the team leader in hits with 7 and is third in average at .538 and for his Game 4 exploits, Dan Auricchio was named the Post 701 Game 4 MVP.

GAME 3 MVP: GREG SAWITZKI

The six year Post veteran had a great game vs archrival DePalma's going 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 rbis. In addition to his offensive exploits, Greg Sawitski had five assists on the defensive end in the 9-8 Post win and was voted Game 3 Post 701 "MVP."

GAME 2 MVP: LORENZO FIORILLO

Argueably, he is the fastest player in the Amsterdam Rec Softball League. However, entering Game 2, Lorenzo Fiorillo had a seat on the bench cheering on his teammates. When his Dad, Skipper Vinny Fiorillo went down with a finger injury, "Zo" entered the game and ignited the 701 offense. Going 3 for 3, Lorenzo scored three times and stole two bases in leading the Post to a come from behind 10-6 victory. For his performance, Lorenzo earned Game 2 MVP honors.

GAME 1 MVP: CHARLIE ARCHINAL

He has taken off where he left off in 2006 with a solid pitching performance and a base hit in game one. 51 year old Charlie Archinal continues to amaze with his resiliant arm and bat. He scattered 4 hits while striking out 4 in a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to the City League Mohawks. Charlie did not disappoint with the bat as he singled in the first inning, one of the only two hits that the Post could muster in their opening day loss. With his excellent performance, Archinal was named Game 1 MVP for the 2007 softball season.
